Qualified Financial Accountant

Qualified Financial AccountantWest London | Office-Based | £60,000-£70,000kWe are partnering with a successful, well-established international IT organisation to recruit a qualified Financial Accountant into a key role within its UK finance team.

Reporting to senior leadership, this is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant looking to take full ownership of financial reporting, statutory compliance and finance operations within a stable and growing business. You'll also have responsibility for leading a small finance team and driving continuous improvements across financial processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and forecasts
• Produce balance sheet reconciliations and maintain robust financial controls
• Deliver insightful variance analysis and performance reporting
• Prepare statutory accounts and manage the year-end audit process
• Oversee VAT, corporation tax and statutory compliance
• Manage cash flow, budgeting and forecasting
• Process monthly payroll
• Lead, coach and develop a small finance team
• Improve finance systems, reporting processes and internal controls
• Partner with senior stakeholders to support commercial decision-making

About You

You'll be an organised, commercially minded finance professional with strong technical accounting expertise and the confidence to work closely with senior management.

• You'll ideally have:ACA or ACCA qualification5+ years' post-qualified experience
• Strong financial accounting and statutory reporting experience
• Experience preparing management accounts and working to monthly reporting deadlines
• Advanced Excel skills and experience using ERP or accounting systems
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Previous experience managing or mentoring finance staff
• Experience within technology, equipment rental or other asset-intensive industries would be beneficial but is not essential.
