Role Description The Business Development Manager — Fluoropolymer Materials (North America) is a full-time, on-site role based in Brooklyn, NY. This position is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for fluoropolymer and related high-performance materials across North American manufacturing customers.

Day-to-day activities include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting customer needs assessments, preparing proposals, and managing the sales cycle from initial contact through to contract negotiation and closing.

The role involves building and maintaining long-term relationships with key accounts, collaborating with internal sourcing and operations teams to align material solutions with customer requirements, and monitoring market trends and competitive activity.

The Business Development Manager will also provide regular sales forecasting, pipeline reporting, and participate in industry events and customer visits to grow MadeNext’s presence in target markets.

Qualifications

• Strong business development and sales skills, including lead generation, opportunity qualification, and deal closing.
• Experience with account management and customer relationship management, including regular communication, follow-up, and solution-based selling.
• Knowledge of fluoropolymer materials, engineered plastics, specialty films, or related high-performance materials used in advanced electronics or industrial applications.
• Ability to analyze market segments, identify growth opportunities, and develop territory or segment plans for North America.
• Proficiency in using CRM software and standard productivity tools to track pipeline, activities, and performance metrics.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical and commercial information to diverse stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation and contract discussion capabilities, with attention to commercial terms, pricing, and supply arrangements.
• Self-directed work style with strong organizational skills, including time management, prioritization, and follow-through.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field; equivalent experience in technical sales or business development will be considered.
• Experience working with manufacturers in electronics, aerospace, medical, power electronics, or similar sectors is highly beneficial.
