The role

We’re looking for a Product Owner to take day-to-day ownership of a range of smaller and mid-sized digital products and services used by a large member community.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, working with stakeholders and subject matter experts, and turning business and user needs into practical product improvements.

You’ll work closely with the Product Manager and a range of internal teams and third-party development partners to shape requirements, manage backlogs and help deliver the product roadmap.

What you’ll doOwn and manage backlogs for selected products and services.

Gather and clarify requirements with business stakeholders and subject matter experts.

Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria and product requirements.

Support roadmap planning, prioritisation and product discovery.

Work closely with development, UX, testing and external delivery partners.

Participate in Agile ceremonies and support delivery from discovery through to release.

Use member feedback, data and stakeholder insight to identify improvements.

Support UAT, releases, documentation and product communications.

Identify risks, dependencies and trade-offs, escalating where appropriate.

Review product outcomes and help shape future priorities.

What we’re looking forYou’ll have around five years’ experience in product, business analysis, digital, technology, project delivery or service improvement, with a good understanding of product ownership principles.

You’ll be confident:

Gathering and translating requirements into actionable user stories.

Managing competing priorities and working across multiple teams.

Working with both business and technical stakeholders.

Challenging constructively and making recommendations.

Using data and feedback to support product decisions.

Getting into the detail while keeping sight of the bigger picture.

You don’t need to be technical or a developer, but you should be comfortable working with development teams and external suppliers.

We’d also welcome candidates from backgrounds such as Business Analysis, Junior Product Ownership, Product Analysis, Product Assistance, digital or service improvement who are ready to take the next step.
