Contract: Product Owner - London/Hybrid - 12 months

Role Overview

In this role, you will lead end-to-end digital transformation programmes across payments, digital banking, KYC, remittances, tokenization, and ERP modernisation. You will own programme strategy, governance, delivery, and stakeholder management while coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver complex transformation initiatives aligned with business and customer objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end programme delivery across roadmap planning, releases, governance, risk, budgets, and dependencies.
• Drive transformation initiatives across card payments, Real Time payments, tokenization, merchant services, remittances, and digital banking.
• Work with business leaders, Product Owners, Architects, and engineering teams to define transformation strategy and delivery roadmaps.
• Lead multiple cross-functional and globally distributed workstreams.
• Drive Agile delivery using SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean methodologies.
• Manage vendors and strategic partners against programme, architecture, and compliance requirements.
• Provide executive-level reporting across programme performance, risks, milestones, and outcomes.
• Coordinate engineering, operations, risk, compliance, product, and business teams throughout delivery.

Skills & Experience

• 10-12+ years' experience leading large-scale digital transformation or enterprise modernisation programmes.
• Strong financial services experience with knowledge across Payments, Digital Banking, KYC, Remittances, and Tokenization.
• Proven ownership of complex programmes covering strategy through to production delivery.
• Strong Agile delivery experience across SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and DevOps environments.
• Experience leading globally distributed business, product, operations, and technology teams.
• Strong programme governance, risk, budget, dependency, and vendor management experience.
• Understanding of payments architecture, APIs, microservices, cloud transformation, and enterprise integration.
• Strong senior stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• CSPO, PSPO, SAFe POPM, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification is beneficial.

Contract details

• Location: Hybrid (London 2/3 days per week)
• Duration: Initial 12 months
• Daily rate: £375 - £400 per day (Inside IR35)
