Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Bakery Operations Manager to lead and oversee the daily functions of our bakery production facility. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence, maintaining high-quality standards, and optimizing manufacturing processes. Responsibilities

• Oversee daily bakery production activities, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to manage raw material inventory levels using ERP systems such as SAP.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Monitor manufacturing processes, utilizing MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to plan production schedules effectively.
• Lead efforts in quality control by establishing rigorous inspection protocols and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure mechanical systems are operating optimally, applying mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting.
• Drive continuous improvement projects aimed at optimizing workflow, reducing costs, and increasing product consistency.
• Supervise staff training on assembly techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
• Maintain detailed documentation of production metrics, process changes, and quality reports for audit readiness.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and innovation within the bakery operations team.

Skills

• Extensive experience with SAP or similar ERP systems used in manufacturing environments.
• Strong mechanical knowledge relevant to bakery equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to lead process improvement initiatives utilizing lean manufacturing methodologies.
• In-depth understanding of supply chain management within a manufacturing context.
