Financial Messaging Business Analyst

Provide business and technical expertise across financial messaging and its integration with trading applications.

Support the Product Manager with business cases for Service Bureau and/or SaaS migrations, including RFP/ITT documentation and vendor selection.

Analyse business processes and translate requirements into clear business, technical and system specifications.

Coordinate UAT, testing and delivery of product changes, including automation test strategy.

Support projects by tracking key deliverables, milestones, budgets and risks.

Collaborate closely with business, technology, architecture and data teams to ensure successful delivery.

Work within an Agile/Kanban environment, using tools such as GitHub or Azure DevOps.

About The CustomerProvide strategic Business Analysis support to the Banking Technology team responsible for the delivery, enhancement and ongoing development of Banking’s financial messaging systems. Support key initiatives by translating strategic business needs into effective solutions, ensuring they are delivered on time, cost-effectively and in line with business requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ BA experience supporting financial messaging applications in banking
• Experience with Service Bureau migration, outsourcing and/or insourcing
• Track record delivering large, business-critical financial messaging projects
• Strong requirements gathering, analysis and stakeholder management skills
• Knowledge of the post-trading lifecycle / Back Office processes
• Familiarity with SWIFT infrastructure, services and standards
• Experience with UAT and ideally reconciliation, transformation or sanctions screening tools
