Accountant - Manufacturing/ Reporting/ Inventory

Support the overall financial accounting, reporting, inventory management and compliance activities for the assigned entity. Ensure accurate and timely month-end closing and financial reporting in accordance with IFRS requirements. Provide finance and tax support for the Oversea branch and participate in regional finance projects and process improvement initiatives.

Roles & Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Support monthly and quarterly closing and financial reporting activities.
• Prepare SAP segment reporting and relevant financial schedules.
• Prepare related-party, audit and tax schedules.
• Assist in preparing Notes to the Financial Statements.
• Support tax reporting, tax queries and compliance requirements.
• Ensure financial reporting is completed accurately and on time.

Inventory Management & Analysis

• Prepare inventory forecasts and regular inventory reports.
• Perform monthly inventory reconciliation and investigate discrepancies.
• Review inventory provisions, stock write-offs and disposal matters.
• Monitor and analyse expired and slow-moving inventory.
• Support year-end stock counts and reconciliation with auditors.

Accounting & Reconciliation

• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items.
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documents for external auditors.
• Prepare loan schedules and interest calculations.
• Handle withholding tax filing and reconciliation.
• Review bank reconciliations, employee claims and GST submissions.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures and SOPs.

Myanmar Branch Support

• Support annual financial closing activities for the Oversea branch.
• Assist with local tax filings and regulatory compliance matters.
• Ensure required financial and accounting information is properly maintained.

Governance & Finance Projects

• Support J-SOX compliance and internal control requirements.
• Prepare relevant government and regulatory submissions.
• Participate in SAP S/4HANA UAT and other finance-related projects.
• Support process improvement and system enhancement initiatives.

Other Responsibilities

• Provide backup support for credit release activities when required.
• Perform other finance and operational duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, reporting or general ledger functions.
• Hands-on experience in month-end closing, balance sheet reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Experience in inventory accounting, stock reconciliation and inventory provisions is preferred.
• Good knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles.
• Experience supporting audit, tax and compliance matters.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel; SAP S/4HANA experience will be an advantage.
• Experience with J-SOX/internal controls will be advantageous.
