Contract Area Sales Manager - New York

Role Description The Contract Area Sales Manager – New York is a full-time, on-site role based in San Francisco, CA, responsible for driving contract sales within the New York territory and key surrounding markets. This role includes developing and maintaining relationships with architects, designers, dealers, and contract clients, as well as presenting Fritz Hansen collections and solutions to meet project needs.

The manager will oversee the sales pipeline from lead generation to closing deals, prepare proposals and pricing, and ensure accurate contract documentation. Day-to-day tasks involve market analysis, regular client visits, showroom and event participation, coordination with internal teams on inventory and logistics, and reporting on sales performance and forecasts.

The role also entails representing the brand at industry events, strengthening brand visibility, and ensuring a high standard of customer experience.

Qualifications

• Sales and account management skills, including experience managing territories, developing new business, and nurturing long-term client relationships.
• Contract and project management skills, with the ability to handle complex proposals, pricing structures, and timelines in the commercial or hospitality sectors.
• Design and product knowledge, preferably in furniture, interiors, or architecture, with an eye for aesthetics and the ability to translate design concepts into client solutions.
• Communication and presentation skills, including strong negotiation abilities and confidence in presenting to clients, project teams, and decision-makers.
• Organizational and analytical skills, with proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office or similar tools, and data-driven sales reporting.
• Proven experience in contract or B2B sales; experience in premium furniture, design, or related industries is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in San Francisco, CA, travel regularly to the New York territory and key accounts, and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in sales and the design industry.
