Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.2 years of experience in EHS management systems or managing EHS compliance.2 years of experience in program or project management.
• Experience with local EHS regulations in Australia.
• Experience in conducting EHS risk assessments and overseeing hazard control measures.
• Successful candidate must be an Australian citizen, and will be required to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) clearance under the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).

Preferred qualifications

• 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• Experience managing multi-site portfolios and coordinating with third-party vendors.
• Experience navigating Shared Duty of Care interpretations within colocation environments.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex, cross-functional projects.
• Advanced knowledge of the Australian Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act and associated state-based regulations as well as EHS best practice.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical and problem-solving skills.

As a Program Manager, you will provide a reliable, scalable, and effective EHS service that empowers all stakeholders to achieve a safe, sustainable work environment, regardless of geography or operational differences. You will influence leaders to establish a healthy work environment. you will ensure that Google infrastructure complies with all applicable health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key contributor to continuous improvement across Google's EHS operations by building trusted relationships with program stakeholders, including managing expectations of program stakeholders and ensuring they have the insights they need to make effective decisions.
• Independently manage the full lifecycle of programs, proactively identifying, organizing, and leading program activities that drive impactful business, operational, and technical improvements within the EHS domain.
• Define and address undefined cross-functional and cross-organizational challenges, utilizing program management methodologies to effectively monitor and manage programs and stakeholders.
• Ability to travel up to 50% and be onsite at a minimal 3 days per week (extendable as business requests).
• Successful candidates will be required to obtain security clearance under the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) up to and including Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1).
