About the Role

The Electric Vehicle Council is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead delivery of a major Charging Roadmap that will help inform the future of EV charging infrastructure, energy integration and transport electrification in Australia.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with senior leaders across government, industry and the energy sector to help shape the future of transport electrification in Australia.

Working alongside government, industry and technical experts, you will oversee delivery of a complex, multi-stakeholder program, coordinating specialist consultants, governance processes, stakeholder engagement and project outputs.

The role combines strategic project delivery, stakeholder engagement, policy development and technical writing. Working closely with the Head of Energy, Infrastructure and Commercial, you will help shape practical recommendations that support future investment, policy development and industry collaboration.

Beyond the Roadmap, you will contribute to broader EVC initiatives across EV charging, vehicle-to-grid (V2G), energy integration and transport electrification.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Program Delivery
• Manage delivery of external modelling, analytical and technical consultancy work.
• Drive development of project reports, roadmap outputs and strategic recommendations.
• Develop Steering Committee papers, project reporting and government briefings.
• Coordinate delivery across technical, policy and stakeholder engagement streams.
• Policy & Industry Leadership
• Contribute to development of EVC policy positions relating to EV charging, V2G and energy integration.
• Monitor and analyse emerging policy, regulatory and market developments affecting transport electrification, EV charging and energy integration.
• Develop policy submissions, briefing papers, reports and technical materials
• Represent EVC at meetings, consultations and industry events Stakeholder Engagement & Organisational Support
• Develop trusted relationships with government, industry, consultants and EVC members.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement and member working groups
• Contribute to EVC communications, publications and thought leadership activities.
• Work collaboratively across the EVC team to support organisational priorities
• Key Skills & Experience
• Strong project management experience delivering complex, multi-stakeholder programs ideally in energy, infrastructure, transport or decarbonisation sectors
• Knowledge of EV charging, energy systems, infrastructure or transport electrification.
• Experience working within technical, analytical, infrastructure or engineering environments.
• Strong technical and policy writing capability
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to manage consultants and multi-stream work programs
• Experience working with government programs or industry partnerships highly regarded

EmploymentThis is a full-time fixed-term appointment for 10 months, aligned to the delivery of a major industry project.

Remuneration: $130,000–$150,000 (plus superannuation), depending on experience.
