The Team

Deloitte’s Technology & Transformation practice works across strategy through to delivery, supporting clients to design and implement change.

Within this, our Systems Delivery & Modernisation team focuses on pragmatic, high-quality delivery—supporting projects and programmes to land successfully in complex environments.

We’re looking for a Senior Consultant / Manager with Project Management experience to join our Auckland team, working across a mix of standalone projects and workstreams within larger programmes.

Job Description

The Impact You’ll MakeYou’ll play a key role in delivering and supporting client programmes and projects, including:

• Managing delivery of complex projects, or key workstreams within broader programmes
• Establishing fit-for-purpose delivery structures, including planning, governance, and reporting
• Supporting programme delivery, working alongside senior client and Deloitte leaders
• Providing delivery assurance, including health checks, risk identification, and practical recommendations
• Supporting recovery and stabilisation efforts, helping bring projects back on track where needed
• Managing key delivery fundamentals—scope, schedule, risks, issues, and dependencies
• Building strong client relationships, becoming a trusted and reliable delivery partner
• Working collaboratively with technical and business teams across Deloitte and client environments
• Contributing to proposals and business development activities
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members

Qualifications

• Your Expertise
• Proven experience as a Project Manager or workstream lead delivering complex projects or components of larger programmes
• Strong grounding in core project management disciplines (planning, governance, risk, reporting)
• Experience working across Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments
• Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and communicate clearly at different levels
• Experience managing scope, timelines, and budgets
• Familiarity with vendor coordination and multi-team environments
• Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset
• Prior experience in a consulting or client-facing role is advantageous
• Relevant certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.) are beneficial
