Senior Financial Analyst - Banking

I am partnering with a leading leading international payments organisation to recruit a Senior Financial Analyst for their Dublin based finance team.

The Senior Financial Analyst will sit between finance operations, treasury, regulatory reporting and financial control playing a key role in safeguarding client funds, overseeing settlements, and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting.

You will work across a broad range of finance activities including reconciliations, liquidity management, regulatory submissions, forecasting, tax compliance, and business improvement initiatives. You will have strong analytical skills and experience in financial control, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Daily client funds reconciliation and safeguarding activities
• Regulatory reporting and data analysis
• FX and liquidity analysis, including funding optimisation
• Financial forecasting, month-end reporting, and variance analysis
• Support tax compliance activities (VAT, VIES, Corporation Tax)
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Drive process improvements and finance transformation initiatives
• Partner with stakeholders across finance, operations, and compliance teams

Requirements

• Educated to Degree/ Masters level
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) desirable not essential
• Financial Services background
• Strong financial and commercial acumen
• Experience with client funds reconciliations and financial controls
• Experience in regulatory reporting and financial forecasting
• Advanced data analysis, database, and reporting skills.
• Comfortable working with large volumes of financial data with an ability to manipulate large data sets.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skill
