This is a senior technical leadership role at the centre of AECOM's ICT & Security practice in New Zealand. As an ICT & Security Team Lead , you will lead a specialist team delivering complex ICT & security systems projects across New Zealand and Australia, combining hands-on technical and design expertise and genuine people leadership.
This is a highly collaborative and client-facing role focused on technical leadership, project delivery, stakeholder management, and mentoring emerging team members. You’ll work closely with senior technical leaders across New Zealand and Australia while helping grow AECOM’s ICT & Security capability across the region.
Technical delivery Lead and deliver ICT and security systems work across healthcare, defence, airports, and major infrastructure projects Provide technical leadership across integrated ICT, communications, and security systems while maintaining accountability for quality outcomes Undertake site visits and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary infrastructure teams People leadership & capability growth Lead, mentor, and develop a team of ICT and security specialists, supporting capability growth and career development Manage team resourcing, utilisation, and project pipeline planning to ensure balanced and effective delivery Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement ANZ collaboration, clients & business growth Collaborate with team leads across New Zealand and Australia on resourcing, capability planning, and project delivery Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships across technical and non-technical audiences Contribute to proposals, business development, and the continued growth of AECOM’s ICT & Security presence in New Zealand
