• Summary
• Cobalt are happy to be partnering with a high growth professional services organisation seeking to appoint a Business Development Manager as part of a strategic expansion programme across the Irish market.

This role sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, client growth and revenue optimisation and is designed for an ambitious business development professional looking to operate within a modern, data driven environment.

Working closely with senior leadership and cross functional teams, the successful candidate will help shape and execute growth initiatives across key sectors while driving best practice across CRM, pipeline visibility, account planning and client engagement.

Key focus areas include commercial growth strategy, strategic account development, sales enablement and pipeline optimisation, CRM transformation and reporting, bid and proposal management, and cross functional collaboration focused on revenue growth initiatives.

The role

• Support the execution of strategic business development initiatives across priority sectors and target accounts
• Partner with senior stakeholders to identify growth opportunities and strengthen client engagement strategies
• Drive structured pipeline management, forecasting and commercial reporting processes
• Support CRM optimisation, adoption and data governance initiatives across the business
• Coordinate high quality bid, proposal and tender submissions
• Deliver commercial insights, reporting and performance analysis to support strategic decision making
• Identify cross sell opportunities and support revenue generating initiatives across service lines
• Assist with account planning, stakeholder mapping and client targeting activity
• Collaborate with marketing and leadership teams to align business development activity with wider commercial objectives
• Track pipeline performance, conversion trends and growth metrics to support continuous improvement

About you

• Experience within business development, commercial strategy, sales enablement or account growth roles
• Strong understanding of CRM systems, pipeline management and revenue reporting
• Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and cross functional teams
• Commercially minded with strong analytical and organisational capabilities
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams within a fast paced environment
• Experience supporting bids, tenders or strategic growth initiatives is advantageous
• Background within professional services, consulting or B2B environments would be beneficial
