Human Resources Manager

An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen to join our highly collaborative national P&D team as a Human Resources Manager in our Sydney office.

This is a key role in the People & Development team and is responsible for the delivery of best practice results in the retention, engagement and performance of our people in line with our business principles and objectives. The role will work closely with and support business leaders across the full suite of HR activities, in a dynamic, fast moving and high performing environment.

Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, the key responsibilities and requirements for this role are as follows:

Responsibilities

• Support Partners and managers in talent management, performance management, training and coaching, IR / ER issues and performance reviews
• Manage the development and implementation of HR policies, programs, and coach the business through change and culture programs
• Execute and communicate all annual processes including performance and remuneration reviews, as well as promotions and engagement survey results
• Actively participate in key projects/initiatives to support organisational strategic goals and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support the wellbeing of our people and act as an escalation point for employee relations issues
• Work closely with other People & Development Managers to ensure information flow is consistent with HR delivery solutions nationally

Requirements

• To be successful in this role you will have a strong background in HR business partnering ideally with a minimum of 5 years Senior HR generalist experience gained within a professional or financial services firm or large corporate.
• This role would be well suited to a HR Advisor or HR Business Partner looking to step into a Manager role.
• You will be able to demonstrate a strong ability to manage relationships with senior business leaders as well as commercial awareness and understanding of how to align HR initiatives with business strategy, you will also have excellent relationship-building skills and a high level of attention to detail.
• Experience of working within a law or professional services firm
• Good understanding of employment legislation, industrial agreements and contemporary HR practice
• Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with senior business leaders and strong commercial awareness
• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline
