Assistant management accountant

The Business

We are working with a fast-growing business in Manchester recruiting a dynamic Assistant Management Accountant. The role will be hands-on across bank reconciliations, payments, accounting processes, and operational finance

The Role

This person will play a critical role in supporting financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and producing high-quality financial reporting that supports business decisions. Reporting to the Finance Manager, duties include:

• Reconcile daily bank transactions across operational accounts
• Post, process, and match supplier and operational invoices.
• Run and manage BACS payment processes, currently performed manually.
• Process and review employee expenses.
• Assist in the preparation and review of monthly management accounts
• Review, post, and reconcile monthly payroll.
• Assist with VAT reconciliations and filings.

Person

• Part qualified or working towards an accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
• Experience operating in a finance role
• Confident working in a fast pace environment
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
