Senior Executive Handover and DLP

We are looking to hire a Senior Executive – Handover & DLP (MEP) who will be responsible for managing Defects Liability Period (DLP) activities, handover coordination, defect rectification follow-up, contractor management, and stakeholder engagement for our client based in Dubai – which is one of the largest companies in the region.

This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 12 months and is renewable.

The role sits within the Handover & DLP Management Department and reports directly to the Assistant Manager – Handover & DLP Management.

We are looking for a passionate Senior Executive – Handover & DLP (MEP) who is committed to ensuring the successful handover of assets and effective management of post-handover defects across residential and mixed-use developments. You should also have experience in managing MEP-related defects, contractor coordination, snagging and de-snagging activities, Facilities Management coordination, and DLP processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate Defects Liability Period (DLP) activities related to MEP systems across assigned communities and developments.
• Conduct site inspections to identify, assess, and verify defects related to HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, and associated building services.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, FM providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely rectification and closure of defects.
• Monitor contractor performance and compliance with contractual DLP obligations and service level agreements.
• Maintain defect trackers, snagging reports, inspection records, and closure documentation.
• Review and verify completed rectification works to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Liaise with Facilities Management and Community Management teams to support smooth transition and operational readiness of assets.
• Track outstanding defects and escalate critical issues to management where necessary.
• Prepare periodic reports and status updates on defect closure and DLP performance.
• Support final handover activities and ensure all defects are resolved prior to DLP completion.
• Knowledge, skills & experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.7–10 years of experience in Handover, DLP Management, Facilities Management, Building Services, Property Management, or Post-Handover Operations.
• Strong MEP background with hands-on experience in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, and Building Systems.
• Experience managing defect rectification, snagging/de-snagging, handover, and DLP activities within residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use developments.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, technical inspections, maintenance principles, and building operations.
• Ability to review technical drawings, specifications, inspection reports, and contractor submissions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and contractor coordination skills.
• Strong reporting, documentation, and Microsoft Office skills.UAE experience is highly preferred.UAE Driving License is preferred.
