Head of IT Infrastructure - Asset Manager

Our client is a well-established financial company, operating as a FINMA-regulated Asset Manager based in Vaud. It serves as a trusted partner, delivering top-tier financial portfolio management services to clients and prioritizing robust, consistent growth and stability. For our client, we are looking for their new Head of IT Infrastructure, combining technical expertise and solid leadership skills.

In terms of responsibilities, the right candidate will take care of the following activities: IT Infrastructure & Systems Own and manage the company’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud environments, and cybersecurity controls. Ensure leading cybersecurity controls in close collaboration with CyberSecurity Officer.

Maintain high availability and resilience of systems supporting business operations. Manage relationships with IT vendors, telecom providers, and other key providers. Ensure proper backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning. Ensure systems meet regulatory and compliance standards. Lead IT infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new system implementations.

End-User Technology & Support Ensure employees have reliable end-user computing environments (laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, collaboration tools). Manage IT service desk or support processes, ensuring timely resolution of issues. Maintain user identity, access management, and onboarding/offboarding processes. Oversee software licensing and asset management.

Implement IT policies, security awareness, and acceptable use practices.

Governance, Risk & Compliance Ensure compliance with IT governance, risk, and security frameworks applicable to financial services. Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and controls. Vendor management, assessment and KPI tracking. Support internal and external audits related to IT and operational infrastructure. Maintain incident response and business continuity procedures.

Vulnerability management, patching, and monitoring.

Facilities Management Oversee the management and maintenance of office facilities, including workspace, meeting rooms, and common areas. Manage relationships with building management, contractors, and service providers (cleaning, maintenance, security). Ensure compliance with health & safety and workplace regulations in collaboration with Human Resources. Coordinate office infrastructure projects.

Manage physical security systems and access control.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Technology, IT Systems or Networks. 10 to 20 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, end user management and technology operations.

Experience in Cloud migration and operating hybrid setup will clearly be a must. Strong knowledge of Cybersecurity governance best practices implementations. Experience in financial services, Asset or Wealth management will be preferred but is not a prerequisite. Proven ability to work in small organizations with hands-on responsibilities and ability to lead by example within a changing environment.
