Our client, a respected IT consultancy in Zurich, is looking for an experienced IT Application Manager to join their team. This is a genuinely varied role — you'll take ownership of application performance and lifecycle, act as the key link between users, developers, and support teams, and help shape how applications continue to evolve.

What you'll be doing

• Monitoring application availability, performance, and resource usage
• Keeping users informed on malfunctions, updates, and planned interruptions
• Coordinating the specification, testing, and rollout of releases
• Diagnosing and resolving application errors, including providing workarounds where needed
• Feeding technical requirements into solution concepts and release planning
• Producing customer-specific reports and statistics
• Managing installation plans and supporting data maintenance

What you'll bring

• Experience in application management or application support
• Strong communication skills, comfortable working between technical and business stakeholders
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced consultancy environment
• Fluent German is essential, given the client-facing nature of the role
