About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development & Client Growth Manager to join the team, responsible for building a new portfolio of clients and developing ongoing B2B relationships. The role is approximately 75-80% new business development and 25-20% senior account management in the first 12 months, shifting toward account growth once your client portfolio reaches sufficient Gross Profit.

You'll work closely with the CEO, design team and dedicated Account Manager, to convert opportunities into active briefs, while building brand awareness across the Sydney and global market, drawing on the business's 25 years of experience and reputation.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and win new clients, converting briefs into production purchase orders.
• Strategically identify the right type of client companies and the right people within them to build relationships with.
• Build understanding of the POS industry — the products, how POS is used in marketing, and the types of companies that rely on it.
• Successfully establish and maintain client relationships from first contact through to long-term growth.
• Work autonomously with strong self-motivation — proactively adjusting strategy without needing to be chased or managed.
• Take ownership of an existing portfolio of global client accounts, growing them strategically.
• Map key stakeholders within client accounts, understand budgets, spending patterns and marketing strategies, and identify upsell opportunities.
• Partner closely with your assigned Account Manager to deliver profitable, well-executed projects.
• Provide accurate weekly sales forecasts and performance reporting.
• Represent the business at new client meetings, presentations and networking opportunities to build market presence.

Skills

• Proven experience in corporate/B2B business development, ideally within POS, retail, FMCG or a related industry
• Strong track record of new business wins, backed by client and network endorsements
• Experience strategically growing key accounts, including budget and stakeholder mapping
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
• Tertiary qualification highly regarded;
• FMCG & Retail training a plus
• Existing network of relevant industry contacts highly regarded
