About the role

As a Mantel Delivery Manager, you are integral to creating amazing experiences and outcomes for all! In this role, you will lead and manage risk, quality, and progress of client projects. In your role you will ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to Mantel standards.

Working across either Cloud, Data, Digital or Cyber Security, you will get the opportunity to lead projects across a wide range of industries and technologies!

The Delivery Manager provides leadership and direction in the planning and delivery of client projects to meet the overall goal, and the SOW is successfully delivered. With a customer-centric mentality, your core responsibility is to lead and own the delivery of the project via a cross-functional squad.

At this level, you are able to lead more complex projects in large enterprises with the ability to lead 2 or more project teams and/or work across multiple domains.

Your day to day

Team Health:

• Influence clients and squads in complex decision making to meet project outcomes
• Ensures dependencies between teams and/or client are understood and managed
• Ability to lead and manage initiatives within a client environment often with blended teams consisting of client, vendors, partners and Mantel
• Able to navigate ambiguity, uncertainty and undefined expectations to provide clarity and alignment for the team and client
• Understands the roles and responsibilities of each project's delivery roles and can coach and support team members and clients on this to reduce risks and achieve project success
• Coaches teams to become high performing with a positive team dynamic
• Ideally you lead teams based in different geographical locations.

Delivery Excellence:

• Deliver complex technology projects, working with multiple teams and initiatives
• Enable and mature Agile ways of working and/or are adaptive to traditional ways of working when required
• Focus on continuous improvement and achieving project business objectives and client outcomes
• Be able to successfully navigate business environments with varying levels of governance, complexity and maturity
• Be the key point of escalation for significant incidents that interrupt timeline or agreed tech deliverables, and managing more complex change requests and contract variations
• Integrating AI into the delivery lifecycle framework and project management practices.

Proactively uplifting skills in AI to effectively leverage generative and agentic AI for productivity and to improve delivery outcomes.

Client Satisfaction:

• Builds relationships with clients through to senior leadership by understanding their business, vision, and their challenges
• Influential management and communication when dealing with challenging stakeholders
• Fosters the trust and confidence required to be seen as a trusted advisor and bring clients on the transformation journey
• Organic Business Growth:
• Identifies opportunities for further transformation work beyond the client project engagement
• Works with the client engagement and business development teams to lead or support pre-sales relating to SOWs/Tenders
• Can mentor Delivery Leads and interviews candidates for Delivery roles while supporting the recruitment process
• What you’ll need to be successful:
• Can define and manage technology projects from beginning to end
• Has experience tracking and communicating the progress of technology projects from a financial and commercial perspective
• Is well versed in techniques and methodologies such as agile, lean and kanban
• Builds effective relationships with stakeholders and our team to ensure trust and confidence
• Enables cohesive and supportive team environments with a focus on team health and wellbeing
• Is consultative, customer-facing and has strong negotiation techniques
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences.
