Tax Consultant - 9mths contract

About the Role

Our client, a leader in the FinTech industry, is seeking a Tax Consultant – Manager Level to join their team. As a Tax Consultant, you will be responsible for managing tax advisory, compliance, and risk management across multiple jurisdictions, including the CISSEE region.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in corporate tax advisory, compliance oversight, and transfer pricing, which will align successfully in the organization.

About the Requirements

• Provide manager-level tax advice on corporate income tax, withholding tax, and indirect tax (VAT/GST) across multiple jurisdictions, including the CISSEE region
• Identify and assess tax risks and exposures; support mitigation plans and ensure proper documentation and controls
• Support business initiatives such as entity restructuring, market entry, operating model changes, and intercompany arrangements
• Interpret evolving tax legislation and translate requirements into actionable guidance for stakeholders
• Manage tax compliance deliverables including returns, payments, assessments, and statutory correspondence across CISSEE countries
• Coordinate with internal finance teams and external advisors to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of filings
• Review tax computations, workpapers, and supporting documentation to ensure audit-ready standards
• Maintain compliance calendars and proactively manage deadlines, dependencies, and approvals
• Support transfer pricing execution including intercompany agreements, policy adherence, and documentation
• Ensure alignment of intercompany pricing with group policies and local regulations across the CISSEE region
• Assist in responding to tax authority queries related to transfer pricing and cross-border transactions
• Support tax audits including documentation, technical responses, and query handling
• Liaise with tax authorities (directly or through advisors) to manage assessments, disputes, and penalties
• Track audit progress, maintain issue logs, and brief leadership on risks, milestones, and strategies

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Proven experience in corporate tax, VAT/GST, and international taxation across multiple jurisdictions, preferably covering the CISSEE region
• Strong expertise in tax compliance, advisory, transfer pricing, and audit management
