The Senior Applications Analyst is responsible for working on a detailed design of a part of whole information systems requirements within the organization. Activities cover systems design, development testing, implementation, and support of LS NAV.
Key Responsibilities
- System Implementation and Analysis:
- Review, analyze, and modify programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging, and installing to support the company application systems.
- Collect information to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems.
- Plan, implement, test, and troubleshoot system software.
- Develop systems solutions for operational problems.
- Recommend technical and procedural design for new or revised applications including flow charts, system specifications and programming guidelines.
- Analyze current and new programming languages, documentation, hardware and software to identify possible applications and/or feasibility of applications for computer systems.
- Detail systems design and process sequencing.
- Prepare schedules and timetables for projects and systems maintenance.
- Prepare and/or review specifications, evaluate equipment, programs and applications and recommend implementation of new or upgraded software.
- Test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems.
- Use object-oriented programming languages, as well as client/server applications development processes and multimedia and Internet technology.
- Coordinate and link the computer systems within the company to increase compatibility and so information can be shared.
- Expand or modify system to serve new purposes or improve workflow.
- Analyze information processing or computation needs and plan and design computer systems, using techniques such as structured analysis, data modelling and information engineering.
- Assess the usefulness of pre-developed application packages and adapt them to a user environment.
- Define the goals of the system and devise flow charts and diagrams describing logical operational steps of programs.
- Prepare detailed flow charts and diagrams outlining systems capabilities and processes.
- Review and analyze computer printouts and performance indicators to locate code problems, and correct errors by correcting codes.
- Specify inputs accessed by the system and plan the distribution and use of the results.
- Users Support and Documentation:
- Train staff and users to work with computer systems and programs.
- Observe job performance and/or perform the job in order to determine what information is processed and how it is processed.
- Consult with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives.
- Provide users with assistance solving computer related problems such as malfunctions and program problems.
- Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.
- Write technical instructions in the use of programs and/or program modifications.
- Write documentation to describe program development, installation, operating procedures, logic, coding, and corrections.
- Consult with engineering, and technical personnel to clarify program intent, identify problems, and suggest changes.
- Your Profile:
- University Degree in IT or IT equivalent.
- Worked in LSNAV 2013 versions or above.
- Strong understanding of MS Dynamics NAV and LS Retail-Setups/ Configuration/ Implementation.
- Development experience on SQL.Technical Expertise on CAL/AL programming and RDLC reporting.
- Techno-functional Knowledge of LS Retail and Microsoft Dynamics NAV.Ability to manage and deliver new requirements, Solution Design, Functional Documentation, Testing and Quality Assurance.
- Experience of working on full life cycle implementations.
