Business Analyst

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Payments Business Analyst with strong functional expertise in the banking and payments domain. The successful candidate will play a key role throughout the project lifecycle, partnering with business and technology stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document requirements, translate them into user stories, and support the successful delivery of payment solutions.

This role requires the ability to interpret regulatory documentation, facilitate requirement walkthroughs, and collaborate closely with technical teams to ensure business needs are effectively implemented.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements by assessing current (As-Is) processes and defining future-state solutions.
• Translate business requirements into clear, actionable user stories and functional specifications.
• Review and interpret regulatory documentation, including SWIFT and SEPA rulebooks, to identify business and functional impacts.
• Conduct requirement walkthroughs and collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and technical teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Produce high-quality documentation, including process flows, functional specifications, procedures, and user manuals.
• Support solution design and ensure requirements are delivered in line with business objectives and regulatory standards.
• Required Skills & Experience
• Strong experience as a Business Analyst within the Banking domain, with a particular focus on Payments.
• Proven expertise in solution analysis and requirement gathering across complex banking projects.
• Solid understanding of payment processing, banking systems, and payment regulations.
• Experience interpreting regulatory changes and industry standards such as SWIFT and SEPA.Knowledge of Instant Payments, ISO 20022, and PSD2 is highly desirable.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across business, IT, and architecture teams.
• Excellent documentation skills, including process mapping, flow diagrams, functional specifications, and procedural documentation.
