Assistant Digital Marketing Manager

Our client, a leading consumer brand, is seeking a Digital Marketing (Assistant) Manager – Emerging Markets to drive data-led digital marketing, content, e-commerce, and performance campaigns across Southeast Asia, India, China, and North Asia.

This role will translate regional brand and commercial priorities into impactful digital activation strategies across owned, paid, earned, social, influencer, retailer media, and e-commerce channels. Working closely with internal teams, agencies, distributors, and platform partners, the successful candidate will drive consumer engagement, online visibility, conversion, and marketing ROI across multiple markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual and seasonal digital activation plans, channel strategies, and KPIs aligned with brand priorities, commercial objectives, and key trade activation moments.
• Create regional digital playbooks, campaign frameworks, content toolkits, and best practices that can be adapted across Southeast Asia, India, China, and North Asia.
• Develop content pillars, campaign concepts, social calendars, copy, storytelling, and creative briefs across key digital platforms.
• Localize digital content and messaging to reflect market relevance, consumer behavior, cultural nuances, and platform best practices.
• Plan, brief, launch, and optimize paid social, search, display, video, and retailer media campaigns through agencies and platform partners.
• Manage digital marketing budgets, targeting, creative testing, and campaign optimization to improve reach, engagement, traffic, conversion, and ROAS.Drive e-commerce and digital shelf performance by improving product page content, online assets, searchability, promotional support, and conversion opportunities.
• Coordinate digital elements of retailer, importer, distributor, and e-commerce campaigns with Trade Marketing and Territory Management teams.
• Manage digital, media, social, creative, and influencer agencies, ensuring clear briefs, timelines, budgets, quality standards, and performance reviews.
• Build relationships with platform, marketplace, retailer media, and distribution partners to enhance campaign execution and data visibility.
• Ensure consistent brand messaging, asset usage, claims, tone of voice, and local adaptation across digital touchpoints.
• Consolidate campaign results, benchmarks, platform learnings, and best practices across markets, developing dashboards and reporting routines to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in digital marketing, social media, e-commerce, or related functions, preferably within FMCG, consumer goods, fresh produce, or food industries.
• Regional experience across Southeast Asia, India, Greater China, and/or North Asia is mandatory.
• Hands-on experience managing paid media budgets and agency-led digital campaigns.
• Strong understanding of the Greater China digital ecosystem, including WeChat, RED, Douyin, Tmall, and JD, as well as digital platforms across Southeast Asia and India.
• Strong knowledge of digital marketing and analytics tools, including Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, Google Analytics, social listening, and reporting platforms.
• Strong content judgment with the ability to brief, review, and localize creative content across multiple markets and platforms.
• Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth, and entrepreneurial environments.
• Strong analytical, commercial, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across multicultural teams.
