Are you a confident people leader who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment where no two days are the same? We're looking for an experienced Facilities Operations Manager to lead local teams, deliver exceptional customer service, and create a positive, high-performing culture across the interchanges in Greater Manchester.

Your Role

This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll balance strategic priorities with real-time operational demands. One moment you could be managing site inspections and safety audits, and the next responding to operational incidents, supporting your team through challenges, or making critical decisions to keep services running smoothly.

As a Facilities Operations Manager, you'll play a key role in leading frontline teams in a fast-paced environment where no two days are ever the same. From managing rotas, conducting site inspections and Health & Safety audits, and leading regular team 1:1s, to attending operational calls and collaborating with colleagues across the wider organisation, you'll be at the heart of day-to-day service delivery.

Much of the role is reactive, requiring you to think on your feet, adapt quickly to changing situations and make confident decisions under pressure. You'll support a diverse workforce through wellbeing conversations, return-to-work meetings and performance management, while creating a positive and inclusive culture where teams can thrive.

With a strong focus on putting customers first, you'll lead by example, inspire high standards of customer service, build engaged and motivated teams, and act as a visible ambassador for the organisation's values in everything you do.

This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week. The role is primarily site-based, with standard working hours of 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, when not operating on the leadership rota. What we can offer you

We are recruiting for 2 roles - one permanent role and one fixed term contract for 2 years with a salary of £50,532 - £56,195 plus 15% shift allowance per annum - depending on skills and experience.
