About the Opportunity

One of our prestigious clients, a world leader in engineering, electrification and energy technology, is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator for Electrical Diagnostic Services projects in Qatar.

The role will support the planning, coordination and execution of field-testing, inspection and diagnostic activities across multiple electrical assets and project locations.

Job Summary

The Project Coordinator will manage schedules, manpower, documentation, logistics and communication between project teams, engineers, technicians and client representatives. The candidate must have strong organisational skills and experience supporting technical field projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily project and field activities.
• Develop and maintain work schedules and deployment plans.
• Arrange site access, permits, tools, equipment and transportation.
• Coordinate engineers, technicians, EHS staff and data teams.
• Monitor project progress against planned schedules.
• Track testing, inspections, reports and pending activities.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Maintain project documentation, correspondence and action logs.
• Schedule meetings and record minutes of meetings.
• Follow up on technical submissions and client approvals.
• Coordinate mobilisation and demobilisation of project personnel.
• Monitor manpower attendance and timesheets.
• Liaise with procurement, logistics, HR and administrative teams.
• Ensure field teams receive approved drawings, procedures and schedules.
• Maintain project trackers and document registers.
• Escalate delays, resource shortages and operational risks.
• Support preparation of project presentations and client updates.
• Assist with project close-out documentation and final reporting.
• Ensure coordination activities comply with client procedures and contractual requirements.

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or project-management training is preferred.
• Training in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is advantageous.

Required Experience

• 7–10 years of project-coordination experience.
• Experience in electrical, utility, substation, maintenance or industrial projects is preferred.
• Prior experience coordinating multidisciplinary field teams is required.

Required Skills

• Strong planning, scheduling and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prepare clear progress reports and trackers.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
• Good understanding of site logistics and resource coordination.
• Strong follow-up and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good command of English.
• Valid Qatar driving licence will be an advantage.
