Finance Executive/Accountant (Bahraini)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Executive /Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team. The successful candidate will support the Assistant Manager – Finance & Accounts (Corporate) in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with month-end reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Assistant Manager – Finance & Accounts (Corporate) in day-to-day accounting operations for Head Office / Corporate entity.
• Prepare and post routine journal entries, accruals, and prepayments under supervision, with correct account and cost center coding.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly bank reconciliations and follow up on reconciling items in a timely manner.
• Support Accounts Payable processing — verifying supplier invoices against POs/GRNs, checking VAT treatment, and preparing payment runs for review and approval.
• Support Accounts Receivable processing — preparing customer invoices, tracking receipts, and assisting with ageing reports and follow-ups on overdue balances.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of supporting schedules for the Assistant Manager’s review.
• Assist in preparing basic VAT working papers (input/output VAT summaries) for review before submission to the NBR.
• Maintain proper and organized filing of accounting records, invoices, contracts, and supporting documentation — both physically and in SAP Business One — to ensure audit readiness.
• Assist with data entry, master data updates, and basic report generation within SAP Business One.
• Support the Assistant Manager and Financial Controller during internal, external, and statutory audits by retrieving documentation and preparing basic schedules as requested.
• Assist with intercompany reconciliations, including follow-ups across Group entities under guidance.
• Undertake basic administrative finance tasks such as expense claim verification and document scanning/archiving.
• Proactively flag discrepancies, unusual transactions, or process gaps to the Assistant Manager for review.
• Participate actively in on-the-job training and development to progressively take on more advanced accounting responsibilities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bahraini National.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Up to 3–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Professional accounting qualification or progress towards one (ACCA, CMA, CA, CPA, or equivalent) will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial statements.
• Exposure to Bahrain VAT regulations is preferred.
