Business Development Manager — Insurance Broker

You will manage and grow a dual book of business — corporate lines (group medical, group life, workmen's compensation, commercial fleet, and related lines) as well as retail lines (motor, personal accident, travel, and related products). You will work closely with Ameen's underwriting and placement team to structure competitive offers for clients, and with the wider sales team to identify cross-sell opportunities across both corporate and individual relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a portfolio of corporate and retail clients across Muscat, with full ownership of the relationship from prospecting through to renewal
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across both corporate accounts and individual retail clients
• Conduct a full needs assessment for corporate clients and recommend appropriate coverage across all relevant lines, not just the immediate line of business
• Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers to negotiate competitive terms on behalf of clients
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, pipeline status, and renewal dates
• Meet and exceed individual sales targets across both corporate and retail segments
• Represent Ameen professionally in client meetings, renewal discussions, and industry events
• Support and mentor junior sales staff and interns as the team grows

Candidate Profile

• 2 to 3 years of experience in insurance sales or broking in Oman, with demonstrated success across corporate and/or retail lines
• An established professional network and proven ability to develop and transition client relationships in line with professional and contractual obligations
• Strong working knowledge of the Omani insurance market, key insurers, and regulatory environment
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English; Arabic is an advantage
• Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable managing a varied portfolio independently
