Finance & Accounts Manager

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Finance & Accounts Manager to lead our Accounts & Finance Department during an important period of growth and digital transformation.

The successful candidate will take full ownership of the company’s accounting and financial reporting functions, manage the existing accounts team, strengthen internal controls, and play a key role in our transition to Odoo ERP.

We are looking for a hands-on financial leader who can identify problems, establish proper systems, and provide management with accurate and timely financial information—not simply oversee day-to-day bookkeeping.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Accounts & Finance Department and assign clear responsibilities to the accounting team.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly closing of accounts.
• Prepare monthly Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and management reports.
• Monitor customer receivables, aging, collections, credit exposure, and overdue accounts.
• Manage supplier accounts, payables, reconciliations, and payment planning.
• Ensure regular bank, cash, customer, supplier, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Oversee payroll and related financial controls.
• Establish and improve internal controls, approval procedures, and accounting workflows.
• Identify accounting discrepancies, historical issues, and control weaknesses and ensure they are properly resolved.
• Support management with budgeting, cost analysis, cash-flow planning, and financial decision-making.
• Lead the finance-side implementation and transition to Odoo ERP, including data migration, opening balances, chart of accounts, workflows, testing, and reconciliation.
• Ensure accurate integration between sales, purchasing, inventory, invoicing, and accounting processes.
• Coordinate with auditors and ensure compliance with applicable accounting, tax, VAT, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide management with clear financial analysis rather than only raw accounting data.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong experience in accounting and financial management, preferably in ready-mix, cement, manufacturing, construction, building materials, or a similar operational industry.
• Previous experience managing an accounting team.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, month-end closing, receivables/payables, reconciliations, internal controls, and cash-flow management.
• Experience with ERP systems; Odoo experience is a strong advantage.
• ACCA, CMA, CA, CPA, or similar professional qualification is preferred.
• Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.
• Must be proactive, organized, analytical, and capable of independently identifying and resolving problems.
• Experience in Oman and knowledge of Oman VAT/tax requirements is preferred.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who takes ownership. The successful candidate should be capable of building a structured, reliable, and modern finance department that provides management with accurate information for decision-making.

Pay: RO600.000 - RO950.000 per month
