PM/Draftsman/Estimator

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented PM/Draftsman/Estimator to join our innovative team. This multifaceted role combines project management, precise drafting, and accurate estimation to drive successful construction and design projects from inception to completion.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating high-quality construction documentation, ensuring building code compliance, and delivering detailed project estimates. Duties

• Lead project planning by coordinating with clients, architects, and engineers to establish project scope, timelines, and budgets.
• Develop detailed construction drawings and schematics using AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, or similar CAD software.
• Create 3D models and visualizations with SketchUp, Rhino 3D (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, or 3ds Max to enhance project presentations.
• Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools for efficient system design, clash detection, and building code analysis.
• Prepare accurate project estimates by analyzing material costs, labor requirements, and construction timelines.
• Draft comprehensive construction detail documentation that adheres to building codes and industry standards.
• Conduct building code compliance reviews and ensure all designs meet local regulations and safety standards.
• Collaborate with the design team on schematic development, system design, interior concepts, mechanical systems, and graphic presentations.
• Support project execution through precise CAD drafting, 2D animation for client presentations, and detailed system schematics.
• Maintain organized project files and records of all drawings, estimates, revisions, and correspondence.

Experience

• Proven experience in construction drafting, estimation, or project management within the architecture or engineering sectors.
• Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation; familiarity with SolidWorks is a plus.
• Strong skills in 3D CAD modeling using Rhino 3D (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, SketchUp; experience with BIM tools is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of building code analysis and compliance procedures across various jurisdictions.
• Experience preparing detailed construction documentation including details for structural systems, mechanical systems, interior layouts, and system design schematics.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and translate them into precise technical drafts.
• Background in construction or related field preferred; experience with graphic design or interior design is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and presenting complex ideas clearly.

Pay: $35.00 - $60.00 per hour
