Position

Description

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant or Paralegal to support their transactional and litigation practices. This is a full-time, in-person role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and has experience supporting attorneys in business, real estate, and litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate formation and renewal documents
• Draft and record deeds and other title-related documents
• Conduct research using public databases for entity status, UCC filings, and real estate records
• Support transactional workflows including due diligence, checklists, execution documents, closing binders, and post-closing tracking
• Prepare routine corporate governance materials (e.g., meeting notices, agendas, written consents)
• Draft basic legal documents such as promissory notes, NDAs, deeds, and deeds of trust
• Coordinate communications among clients, attorneys, and third-party stakeholders
• Manage deadlines and ensure timely completion of projects
• Provide litigation support including discovery management and filing pleadings in state and federal courts
• Calculate and calendar court deadlines
• Review, proofread, and format legal documents
• Perform general administrative tasks such as mail processing, document organization, filing, and data entry

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, and legal research tools
• Familiarity with regulatory forms and processes (e.g., UCC filings, deed recording, corporate filings)
