Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Summary

Contigo Technology is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance & Accounting team in Austin, Texas. This position is responsible for processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling vendor accounts, and ensuring timely payments while supporting the company's day-to-day accounting operations.

The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced technology services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, review, verify, and process vendor invoices for payment.
• Match invoices with purchase orders and supporting documentation.
• Prepare ACH, wire, and check payments according to company procedures.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable files and financial records.
• Assist with month-end closing, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoice status and payment inquiries.
• Process employee expense reimbursements.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and ensure payments are made by due dates.
• Enter financial data into the accounting system with a high level of accuracy.
• Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation.
• Assist the Finance department with administrative and accounting projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of Accounts Payable or accounting support experience.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and accounting software.
• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Experience with QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP systems.
• Experience working in an IT services, managed services (MSP), or professional services organization.
• Knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting.

Pay: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour
