Legal Assistant/Paralegal

Small adoption/surrogacy/custody Law firm in Northwest Columbus. Free parking at door. 35-40 hours per week-4.5-day week (M-F). Positive work environment. Position would start in July for training.

Responsibilities include

• Preparation, Formatting Documents, Filing documents,
• Monitor Filing Schedules
• Communicate with Courts, Other Law Offices and Clients daily
• Prioritize Daily Schedule to Meet Office Needs
• Help Coordinate Quarterly CLE Offerings
• Manage Phone System and mailing
• Maintain Day to Day Operation of Law Office
• Manage files
• Assist with small personal tasks
• Assist with Billings/Invoices/Personal assistant duties
• Order birth certificates
• Schedule hearings

Skills / Qualification

• Reliability is a must.
• Strong typing and computer skills necessary.
• Able to work independently, positive self-starter.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Paralegal Certificate/Degree preffered, One year experience in legal office or equivalent required.
• Microsoft office experience required.
• E-filing experience preferred.
