Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Pay: $16.50–$20.00 per hour (based on experience)

About Us

We are a growing property management company managing residential rental properties throughout Putnam and Dutchess Counties. We are looking for a dependable, organized, and customer-focused individual to assist with the day-to-day operations of our leasing and property management office.

Whether you have previous property management experience or are eager to learn, we are willing to train the right candidate with strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls and respond to emails from current and prospective tenants
• Schedule and conduct apartment showings (showings can only be done if applicant holds a NYS Salespersons license)
• Process rental applications, background checks, and applicant documentation
• Prepare lease agreements and move-in paperwork
• Coordinate move-ins and move-outs
• Create and manage rental listings on Zillow, Apartments.com, Facebook Marketplace, and other marketing platforms
• Respond to maintenance requests and coordinate repairs with vendors and contractors
• Track maintenance work orders and follow up to ensure completion
• Maintain accurate tenant and property records using property management software
• Assist with rent collection, lease renewals, and resident communications
• Prepare notices and other general office correspondence
• Perform general administrative tasks including filing, scanning, scheduling appointments, and data entry
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous office, customer service, real estate, or property management experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
• Real Estate License is a plus, but not required

Preferred Skills

• Customer service experience
• Administrative experience
• Experience with Zillow, Apartments.com, or similar listing platforms
• Property management software experience (Yardi or similar) is a plus
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

This position is ideal for someone interested in building a career in property management or real estate while gaining hands-on experience in leasing, operations, and resident relations. Licensed candidates will be eligible for base salary + commission on successful rentals.

Pay: $16.50 - $21.00 per hour
