CAD Drafter

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled CAD Drafter to join our design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and schematics using a variety of CAD software. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative projects across construction, mechanical design, and architectural fields.

The CAD Drafter will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to develop accurate 2D and 3D models that meet project specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed technical drawings, schematics, and plans using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and SolidWorks.
• Create 2D animations and visualizations to support project presentations.
• Assist in the drafting of construction documents, mechanical designs, and architectural layouts.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to interpret project requirements and translate them into accurate CAD models.
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback to ensure precision and compliance with industry standards.
• Maintain organized digital files of all drawings, schematics, and project documentation.
• Support the development of construction documentation and facilitate revisions as needed throughout project phases.

Requirements

• Proven experience with CAD software including AutoCAD (2024 or newer), Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SolidWorks, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and 2D animation tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, schematics, drafting standards, and construction documentation.
• Understanding of basic BIM workflows & LOD standards.
• Ability to produce accurate 2D drawings and 3D models for various engineering disciplines.
• Familiarity with civil engineering projects and construction processes is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Prior experience in drafting for mechanical design or construction projects is highly desirable. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,776.96 - $65,559.35 per year
