Job Title: Assistant Manager – Coffee Shop / Café

Job Summary

The Assistant Manager supports the Café Manager in overseeing daily operations of the coffee shop, ensuring excellent guest experiences, maintaining high service and quality standards, and assisting in achieving financial objectives. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to assist in managing both front-of-house and back-of-house teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Support

• Assist in overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service
• Coordinate workflow between kitchen and service teams
• Help maintain cleanliness, ambiance, and operational excellence throughout the restaurant
• Support implementation and adherence to standard operating procedures
• Team Leadership & Staff Support
• Assist in recruiting, training, supervising, and evaluating restaurant staff
• Help prepare staff schedules and monitor labor costs
• Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to team members
• Promote teamwork and maintain a positive work environment
• Support disciplinary actions and conflict resolution under guidance from the Manager
• Guest Relations
• Ensure consistent and exceptional customer service
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally
• Support initiatives to build guest loyalty and encourage repeat business
• Monitor and assist in improving overall guest satisfaction
• Financial Assistance
• Assist in budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis
• Monitor daily sales, expenses, and inventory
• Help manage food and beverage costs efficiently
• Ensure accurate cash handling and POS reconciliation
• Assist in developing strategies to increase revenue and improve margins
• Compliance & Safety
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards
• Support compliance with company policies and local regulations
• Conduct operational audits and inspections as needed

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a café or coffee shop, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Solid understanding of café/restaurant operations
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Preference - Female candidates preferred.

Note: We are looking for immediate joiners. Candidates must be willing to relocate to Al Ain.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to AED5,500.00 per month

Work Location: In person
