IT Auditor & Data Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Auditor & Data Analyst to join our team. This role is critical for ensuring the integrity, security, and efficiency of our information systems and data. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive IT audits, evaluating internal controls, identifying risks, and leveraging data analytics to provide actionable insights.

This position requires a strong understanding of IT audit principles, data analysis techniques, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and report on IT audits, including general IT controls, application controls, infrastructure security, and operational processes, in accordance with professional standards and company policies.
• Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of IT internal controls, including those related to SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Perform risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats to information systems and data, recommending appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Extract, transform, and analyze large datasets from various sources using SQL, Python, R, or other scripting languages to identify trends, anomalies, and control weaknesses.
• Develop and maintain data analytics scripts, dashboards, and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms to support audit activities and continuous monitoring.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to understand system functionalities, data flows, and operational processes.
• Document audit findings, control deficiencies, and recommendations clearly and concisely, presenting them to management and relevant committees.
• Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure timely and effective remediation of identified issues.
• Stay current with emerging IT risks, technologies, and best practices in IT audit and data analytics.
• Assist in the development and enhancement of audit methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Support external audit requests and regulatory examinations as needed.
