Project Engineer – Roads & Infrastructure

About the Role

We are hiring a Project Engineer – Roads & Infrastructure to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and managing all on-site activities related to road and infrastructure projects, ensuring timely execution with high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Manage site logistics, manpower distribution, equipment utilization, and materials handling.
• Supervise and coordinate with site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure adherence to project specifications, drawings, and relevant standards.
• Review and approve material requisitions and coordinate timely procurement and delivery.
• Obtain necessary approvals from consultants and local authorities to avoid project delays.
• Conduct and lead site meetings, addressing project progress, challenges, and resource planning.
• Prepare and submit daily/weekly progress reports to project management.
• Ensure proper implementation of safety protocols and quality control procedures on-site.
• Liaise effectively with consultants, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the UAE in Roads & Infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of project execution standards and site coordination practices.
• Prior experience working in Ajman or Northern Emirates is an advantage.
• Certifications: Valid UAE Driving License (mandatory).

Skills and Competencies

• Strong leadership and site management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making capabilities.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and BOQs.
• Good communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
