Logistics/FGS Coordinator

Job Summary

The Logistics / Finished Goods Coordinator is responsible for managing, coordinating, and controlling finished goods storage, handling, and dispatch operations in the Finished Goods Store (FGS). The role ensures accurate stock recording, proper material placement, timely dispatch as per delivery schedules, and compliance with safety, hygiene, and internal policies.

The position plays a critical role in ensuring smooth interface between Production, Sales/Customer Service, Accounts, and Logistics while maintaining inventory integrity and dispatch accuracy.

Job Responsibilities

1. Finished Goods Coordination & Dispatch

• Coordinate with the FGS In‑Charge and FGS workers on all matters related to finished goods dispatch and delivery.
• Arrange and verify finished goods as per daily delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with Sales / Customer Service for shipment schedules and with Accounts for delivery orders.
• Ensure goods are dispatched accurately and on time as per approved delivery plans.

2. Stock Control & Inventory Management

• Update stock registers immediately upon receiving finished goods from production.
• Verify received quantities against daily production reports.
• Allocate destination-wise finished goods and ensure accurate system/location mapping.
• Coordinate periodic and ad‑hoc physical stock verification of finished goods.
• Ensure stock records match physical inventory at all times.

3. Material Handling & Storage Control

• Guide and control forklift drivers for proper handling and stacking of finished goods.
• Ensure all finished goods are stored in pre‑determined and approved locations.
• Maintain proper identification, segregation, and arrangement of materials to avoid mix‑ups, damage, or contamination.

4. Documentation & Record Keeping

• Maintain complete records of finished goods receipts, issues, dispatches, and transfers.
• Keep accurate documentation related to dispatch transactions, delivery notes, and stock movement.
• Ensure documentation is available for audit, traceability, and reference.

5. Safety, Hygiene & Housekeeping

• Ensure adherence to safety guidelines for equipment, forklifts, and material handling operations.
• Monitor hygiene practices in line with company policies, especially for food, FMCG, and pharma packaging requirements.
• Maintain proper housekeeping, cleanliness, and organized layout of the finished goods area.

6. Administrative & Compliance Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to company policies related to uniforms, PPE, ID cards, grooming standards, and conduct.
• Notify supervisors in advance regarding planned absences and cooperate for overtime, weekend, or holiday duties when required.
• Carry out additional job responsibilities assigned by superiors in support of business objectives.

Role Requirements

• Diploma in any discipline, Certification in Store / Inventory / Warehouse Management (preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in store management, warehousing, inventory control, or logistics
• Experience in the printing & packaging industry preferred
• Exposure to ISO systems and audit requirements is an advantage
• Basic computer literacy (MS Excel, inventory systems)
• Ability to manage physical stock and documentation
• Advance English communication skills and coordination skills
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when required
