HSE Engineer & Officer

HSE ENGINEER & OFFICER WITH ROAD & INFRASTRUCTURE WORK EXPERIENCE (IMMEDIATE JOINER)

A well-established Road Construction Company in the UAE is seeking an Experienced HSE ENGINEER & OFFICER to join our team immediately.

Holding Bachelor of Science in Civil, Mechanical or another relevant Engineering discipline with minimum 3 years’ experience in Road & Infrastructure Works mainly in UAE or GCC countries.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and safety management systems.
• Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Perform risk assessments and recommend appropriate control measures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, client requirements, and international safety standards.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for employees and subcontractors.
• Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Coordinate emergency response plans, drills, and evacuation procedures.
• Maintain HSE documentation, records, and reports.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and government authorities on safety-related matters.
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organization.

Qualifications & Certifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
• Professional certification such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent.
• Additional HSE certifications will be an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Safety Engineer, preferably in the UAE.
• Experience in construction, infrastructure, roadworks, utilities, or industrial projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and international safety standards.

Skills

• Excellent knowledge of occupational health and safety practices.
• Strong risk assessment and hazard identification skills.
• Good communication and leadership abilities.
• Excellent report writing and documentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Team player with strong problem-solving skills.

Salary Range

Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
