Job Summary
- Participate to the counterparty risk management of CA-CIB Singapore corporate clients (News watch, annual reviews, ESR analysis…). In charge of its own portfolio of client names.
- Process GTC, CLF, GMD and CIB Singapore credit requests (Credit analysis, rating assessment, opinion, coordination, …). Supports, whenever required, (Avis de place, Credit analysis, …) the processing of credit requests for other business lines where RPC-SCS has no dedicated presence locally (Project Finance, TMT, …).
- Assists the Head of SCS in the preparation of the Local Credit Risk Committee.
- Contributes to Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Brunei CSPs.
- Ensures RPC credit risk governances and procedures are duly rolled out and followed.
- Acts as a local RPC-SCS representative, providing regular updates to the Regional & HO SCS teams and assisting / liaising with them on queries related to SCS matters (e.g. coordination of replies to surveys, queries, etc. from local management, internal and external auditors, regulators…).
- Active contribution to RPC projects.
- A team player supporting junior staffs, contributing to the overall efficiency of the team and pushing for transformation and simplification ideas.

Role Responsibilities
Credit Requests Instruction
- Advises front officers and business lines during the preparation of credit applications.
- Analyses FO credit applications (activities, financials, compliance with ESG criteria and CSPs conditions), determines credit ratings (Dafne) and issues a risk opinion; all 3 to be formalized in a written RPC credit paper.
- Assists the Head of SCS in the preparation of Local Credit Risk Committees
- For credit applications exceeding the local delegation, supports the regional SCS team in their analysis of the credit files.
- Assists the Head of SCS in the instruction of ad hoc FO one-off requests according to the applicable delegations (ISDA terms, DND names, extensions).
Portfolio Monitoring and Annual Reviews
- Maintains a close monitoring on major news affecting our clients or portfolios (Daily news reviews).
- Participates / Organizes regular updates with FO and maintains good communication flows.
- Provides inputs in preparation to the Early Warning and Substandard Assets committees.
- Ensures Annual Credit & Rating Reviews deadlines are duly respected.
- Preparation / coordination / participation to Portfolio Reviews and ad-hoc discussions on risks and CSPs matters.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensures RPC credit risk governances and procedures are duly rolled out and followed.
- Have a good understanding of the regulatory environment and its implications for our activities and portfolios.
- Contributes to the consolidation of MAS regulatory reports.
Projects
- Active contribution to RPC local/regional/HO projects (methodology, systems...)
- Coordinates ad-hoc HO or regulatory requests (Stress testing, surveys, etc.)
Team Support
- Assists the local Head of SCS in the development of the team: shares knowledge, grows juniors, push ideas…
- Promotes transformation initiatives with the objective to improve efficiency and quality.
- A pro-active team-player that thinks transversal and share loads.
- Covering officer in the absence of the local Head of SCS.
Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities
- Complies with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the Singapore Compliance manual and Compliance policies and procedures as issued from time to time; Financial Security requirements, including, but not limited to, the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud including reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer/Compliance Officer.
- Maintains appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Accounting, Economics or relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- 10-15 years of relevant experience in credit risk management with a leading regional/ international financial institution.
- Expertise in corporate financials assessment.
- Solid knowledge of Fixed Income products, Trade & Commodity Finance and Structured Financing activities.
- Relevant exposure to Asian markets, their key corporate actors and industries.
- Proven ability to collaborate across functions and influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to “multi-task” and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and growing environment.
- Proven capability to identify opportunities and advance transformation initiatives.
- Excellent influencing and communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation skills.
- Relevant experience in a front-office function, a plus.
