Credit Risk Analyst

Our client is a leading multinational commodity trading company and is currently seeking a Credit Risk Analyst to join their regional risk management team.

Reporting to the Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for conducting credit assessments on counterparties and financial institutions, recommending appropriate credit limits, and monitoring counterparty credit exposure across the company's commodity trading activities.

He / She will perform financial and qualitative analysis, review market intelligence, prepare credit risk reports, and present recommendations to management and credit committees.

The incumbent will also work closely with Trading, Trade Operations, Finance, Legal, and Compliance teams to provide timely credit risk support, facilitate risk-related decision making, and ensure adherence to internal credit policies.

In addition, he / she will support regional credit initiatives, participate in CTRM system enhancements, and contribute to process improvement and digital transformation projects to strengthen the overall credit risk framework.

REQUIREMENTS

• Min a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field
• At least 5 years of working experience in the credit risk management within the commodity trading firm
• Knowledge in AML and KYC policies a plus
• Understanding of Credit Rating Models, ISDA/CSA, derivatives & trade finance structured products instruments
• Business requirements on credit risk management policies in the commodity trading field such as L/C, B/L, B/C, VaR, MtM, international trading)
• Familiarity with trade contracts within the commodity trading industry.
• Experience supporting cross-border business operations is advantageous.
