Role Overview

We are looking for a technically skilled and proactive Pre-Sales Engineer to lead the planning and design of BMS and EMS systems for both new construction and retrofit projects. In this role, you will translate customer requirements into technically sound, compliant, and cost-effective solutions that support Singapore's regulatory requirements and sustainability goals.

You will be expected to develop an in-depth understanding of the ENX Sustainability Suite, including its architecture, integration capabilities, and compatibility with various field devices. You will work closely with our Sales and Engineering teams to support the sales process by planning and designing solutions throughout the sales cycle, from proposal preparation through contract award.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Scoping & Design

• Collaborate with clients and partners to assess operational requirements, site conditions, and energy objectives.
• Design technical solutions and recommend system architectures suitable for BMS/EMS deployments.
• Translate client requirements into practical system designs that deliver measurable energy savings.
• Conduct site surveys for retrofit projects and identify opportunities for energy optimization.

Technical Consultation & Demonstration

• Conduct product demonstrations and technical workshops for customers and stakeholders.
• Provide technical advice on system interoperability, scalability, and regulatory compliance (e.g. BCA, PUB, NEA).

Tender & Proposal Support

• Prepare detailed scopes of work, Bills of Materials (BOM), and functional specifications.
• Collaborate with the Sales and Engineering teams to align proposal deliverables and timelines.
• Develop competitive and comprehensive technical proposals.

Vendor & Technology Assessment

• Assess third-party hardware for compatibility, reliability, and performance.
• Recommend suitable sensors, controllers, and IoT devices for different deployment requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Coordinate with consultants, facility managers, and procurement teams to define project requirements.
• Work closely with consultants and contractors to enhance their understanding of our solution offerings.
• Collaborate with partners to develop successful proposals.
• Support the transition from sales to project implementation by providing complete documentation and technical training.
• Train and support partner engineering teams in implementation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Project Implementation Support

• Support field engineers during project deployment to ensure smooth implementation and delivery.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services) or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Pre-Sales, Solution Engineering, or System Design, preferably in BMS/EMS.
• Hands-on experience with electrical and water sub-metering, lighting controls, and ACMV systems.
• Good knowledge of building automation protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and MQTT.
• Strong understanding of networking, including routers, switches, LTE, and wireless networks.
• Familiarity with Singapore building regulations, energy codes, and Green Mark certification.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to different stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Certification such as SCEM or Singapore Energy Auditor.
• Experience in energy analytics, smart metering, or metering platforms.
• Knowledge of chilled water systems, lighting control architecture, and ACMV operations.
• Experience with control systems used in HVAC (ACMV) environments.
