Corporate Finance Lawyer (M&A)

A career in our award winning Corporate Finance Practice will provide you with the opportunity to be involved in a wide spectrum of work in all aspects of clients' corporate finance operations, public M&A and transactional work, contributing to high quality advice and services for Hong Kong and international clients.

You'll work with market-leading lawyers who drive regulatory evolution through precedent-setting work. This role offers high-potential candidates a unique opportunity to develop hands-on legal expertise through direct involvement in active cases and client matters. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Advising local and international clients on private and public mergers and acquisitions, takeovers and privatisation transactions
• Advising clients on Hong Kong listing rules and securities law compliance matters
• Dealing with complex requirements of disclosure of interests issues under the Securities and Futures Ordinance

Requirements

• Hong Kong or overseas jurisdictions with a minimum of 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience
• Excellent understanding of the current regulatory environment, including Listing Rules and Takeovers Codes, with knowledge of private and public mergers and acquisitions and privatisation transactions
• Excellent academic record and solid experience in corporate transactional work involving listed companies
• Excellent level of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin) with the ability to read and write simplified and traditional Chinese characters
• A motivated, proactive and dynamic individual with strong ability to build and maintain a trusting client relationship
• A team player with strong legal and interpersonal skills
