Program Operations Director

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the financial performance of the project, ensuring budgets, forecasts, and profit analysis align with financial targets.
• Serve as the primary liaison for the state client, maintaining strong communication and responsiveness.
• Ensure all program operations comply with contract requirements as well as state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to establish and adjust goals and objectives supporting overall project strategies.
• Direct all administrative operations related to budgeting, financial controls, and human resources.
• Plan, develop, and prioritize tasks necessary to achieve operational and performance goals.
• Review management reports to confirm that project objectives are being met effectively.
• Engage in internal audits, research, and modeling exercises to provide direction and guidance for project initiatives.
• Manage and mentor operational managers, providing support for performance appraisals and professional development.
• Exhibit proactive leadership and dedication to meet corporate goals and program objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

The Program Operations Director plays a critical role in operational execution for the program. This position collaborates with the Joint Venture Program Manager and operational teams to implement strategic priorities, enhance program performance, manage operational risks, and align with customer requirements and Joint Venture objectives.

Responsibilities include coordinating various activities across recruiting, credentialing, human resources, quality control, finance, contracts, security, information technology, training, and operations, ensuring an integrated and compliant workforce solution.

As the Program Operations Director, you will oversee a geographically dispersed team and uphold workforce continuity, operational readiness, employee engagement, and service delivery performance. Building strong relationships with government stakeholders is essential, along with ensuring that all operational activities support the program mission, contractual obligations, and customer expectations.

Ideal Candidate

The right candidate will have a proven track record of leading large workforce-intensive federal service programs, including Personal Services Contracts or similar operations. Experience managing geographically dispersed teams, collaborating in multi-company environments, and supporting executive-level customer relationships is essential.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 10+ years of related professional experience.
• Experience within a Joint Venture, mentor-protege, or strategic teaming arrangement is highly desirable.

Compensation

Maximus offers a competitive salary range based on various factors including job location, education, training, and experience. The annual salary for this position ranges from $162,000.00 to $200,000.00. Additional rewards may include incentives and program-specific awards, as well as comprehensive benefits such as health coverage, life insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
