About the Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Secretary to join a busy Litigation department within a well-established law firm. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced legal environment, providing high-quality administrative and secretarial support to fee earners while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the department.

You'll play a key role in supporting solicitors with document production, file management, client communication and general office administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide secretarial support to solicitors within the Litigation department.
• Audio and copy typing of legal correspondence, documents and reports.
• Open, maintain and close client files in accordance with firm procedures.
• Manage diaries, appointments and meeting arrangements.
• Handle telephone enquiries and assist clients professionally.
• Prepare legal documentation and correspondence.
• Assist with filing, scanning and document management.
• Support reception and wider office administration when required.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with internal procedures at all times.

About You

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant within a law firm.
• Previous Litigation experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent audio typing and document production skills.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
• Able to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
• Positive, proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
