Position Summary

The Labor and Employment Paralegal supports the Labor and Employment attorneys, partnering closely with HR, Business Units, Payroll, and outside counsel. This role serves as a central coordination point for employment-related legal matters, including EEOC matters, matter tracking, and legal hold processes and subpoenas.

The position ensures timely, compliant handling of sensitive matters while maintaining clear communication across internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate employment-related matters with internal counsel and outside law firms
• Assist in the preparation and filing of EEOC position statements and related documentation
• Manage intake, tracking, and response to subpoenas and employment record requests
• Coordinate the collection of employment files and related materials from HR, Payroll and business units for ongoing matters
• Track activity, deadlines, and required actions; Ensure compliance with legal deadlines and documentation requirements
• Support document preservation efforts and coordinate legal hold notifications, acknowledgments, and follow-ups
• Open employment matters in matter management database and maintain key data
• Assist with engagement of outside law firms
• Coordinate legal settlement payments
• Monitor progress, follow up on open items, and ensure timely closure

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree; Paralegal certificate preferred
• 5+ years of paralegal experience, strong preference for employment law experience but will consider commiserate experience in litigation or corporate legal department
• Experience supporting litigation or legal operations in an HR-facing environment
• Familiarity with subpoenas, EEOC processes, legal holds, and employment-related workflows

Pay: $50.00 per hour
