Junior-level Experimental Operator or Lab Support Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Junior-level Experimental Operator or Lab Support Engineer for a Contract with a client in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate with experience executing laboratory experiments, operating reactor systems, and supporting analytical testing activities while maintaining accurate documentation and safety compliance.

Rate Range: $23/hour to $24/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Junior-level Experimental Operator or Lab Support Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Execute laboratory crystallization experiments in accordance with established SOPs, test protocols, and safety requirements.
• Operate, monitor, and maintain reactor systems while ensuring adherence to defined experimental conditions and procedures.
• Collect samples at specified intervals and prepare materials for analytical testing and laboratory evaluation.
• Accurately document experimental observations, process parameters, and test results to maintain complete laboratory records.
• Support laboratory operations through equipment setup, cleaning, organization, and maintenance of a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with engineers and laboratory personnel to troubleshoot issues, follow testing plans, and support research and development activities.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Life Sciences, or a related technical field.
• 0–2 years of experience in a laboratory, research, testing, or process development environment.
• Hands-on experience executing laboratory experiments, operating laboratory equipment, and following established SOPs and safety procedures.
• Strong documentation skills with the ability to accurately record experimental data, perform sample collection, and support analytical testing activities.

Pay Details: $23.00 to $24.00 per hour
