Lab Technician / Lab Associate

We are seeking a highly qualified Lab Technician/Lab Associate to join our Contract Research Organization (CRO) project focused on clinical lab work and in vitro diagnostic (IVD) development. The ideal candidate will have clinical laboratory experience and at least 3 years in the IVD industry. This role involves collaboration with regulatory, R&D, and clinical research teams from protocol development to reporting.

Flexibility and adaptability are key as project duties evolve.

Job Type: Full time | Job Title: Lab Technician | Location: Onsite - San Diego | Compensation (Salary Range): $20.00-$23.00

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory procedures and experiments in accordance with clinical protocols.
• Develop and review clinical study protocols under supervisor guidance.
• Maintain accurate records of experiments and document results and updates.
• Prepare weekly reports and PowerPoint presentations for management and team meetings.
• Collaborate with R&D, regulatory, and clinical teams for smooth project execution.
• Communicate with clients and cross-functional teams to prepare materials and testing kits.
• Assist with the preparation and shipment of testing kits for clinical sites.
• Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Engage in regular communication with international colleagues and adapt to diverse cultural perspectives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the IVD industry, either in clinical trials or R&D roles.
• Strong background in clinical laboratory settings with an understanding of regulatory requirements and protocols.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to work well in a team.
• Experience in data recording, reporting, and creating presentations for management.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment including regulatory, R&D, and clinical research functions.
• Adaptability and willingness to take on varied duties as required by project needs.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently under pressure.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
